​Owner, Senior Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer, Group Class Instructor, Balanced Body Pilates Educator 
Jennie Brooks, the founder of Longevity Fitness Charleston, brings an impressive training background and a well-traveled understanding of mindful movement to her studio and her clients every day. A native of Charleston, Jennie’s pursuits in health and fitness have taken her from the Tuscany region of Italy to the world-renowned Pilates studios of Northern California. Throughout her journey, she has worked with Olympians, apprenticed with master instructors, and developed a signature style of training that focuses on improving body mechanics and empowering the mind to achieve wellness and longevity through movement. Jennie is a Master Educator for Balanced Body and leads the Pilates Teacher Certification Program at Longevity Fitness.

Diana Dove
​DIANA DOVE
Certified Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer, Group Class Instructor ​
A Connecticut native with a passion for both music and dance, Diana was captain of Boston College's (BC) dance team; a founding member of BC's Synergy Hip Hop Dance Company; and choreographer for the BC Dance Team, BC Dance Organization and Synergy. After graduation, she earned her certifications in Group Fitness and Personal Training from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). She is also licensed in Masala Bhangra Workout, Zumba, and CPR/AED. Diana has over 20 years of formal dance training in tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop.

Bobby Shaw
​BOBBY SHAW
Personal Trainer, Group Class Instructor
Bobby’s career in the health and fitness industry has spanned more than 25 years. He received his BS degree from Lander in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. He was part of the initial staff of the first Wellness Center in South Carolina in 1984. He went on to complete his Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of South Carolina. Bobby is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Fitness Director as well as an Exercise Specialist.

Benita Shaw
BENITA SHAW
Member Relations Manager
Benita spent her career at the MUSC Wellness Center and brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. She is an acclaimed runner, competing in over 30 marathons across the US. She is a two-time winner of the Kiawah Marathon and a two-time winner of the Marcus Newberry Award (awarded to the 1st local finisher of the Bridge Run). Benita has helped organize the Cooper River Bridge Run for the last 36 years both as Assistant Race Director and volunteer. She is loving continuing her passion for fitness by supporting her daughter Jennie at Longevity.

Anna Clagett Personal Trainer Charleston
ANNA CLAGETT
Certified Personal Trainer, Group Class Instructor, Apprentice Pilates Instructor
​Born in Steamboat Springs, CO, Anna moved to England when she was 6 and grew up in Cornwall on the coast, playing any sport she could get her hands on, competing mainly in surfing, golf, track, netball and field hockey. Anna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Fitness at The University of Gloucestershire and has since become a certified Personal Trainer through ACE (American Council of Exercise) and TPI certified (Titleist Performance Institute). She is currently an Apprentice Pilates Instructor, training with Jennie through Balanced Body to become certified.

Paige began her teaching career while earning her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Development. While working as a Behavioral Therapist, she went through Balanced Body’s Pilates program in Tampa, FL before completing her Comprehensive Instructor Training through Polestar Pilates, where she earned her National Certification. Paige has also received certifications in Barre, Pilates Suspension Method, TRX, MOTR, Redcord Suspension, and Pilates for Special Populations. Her teaching style can be described as challenging yet creative. 

Classes taught by Paige: TRX Transformation, Reformer A.B.A., Reformer Core Burn, Reformer A.B.A + C, Stretch and Reset, and Sweat Therapy

QUINCY SHIVER
Certified Personal Trainer, Group Class Instructor, Apprentice Pilates Instructor
Quincy is a certified Personal Trainer with NASM, a TRX instructor and is currently finishing her Balanced Body Pilates certification here at Longevity. She began her teaching career in high school coaching gymnasts and went on to teach aerobics and group exercise through college.  After college and raising four boys, she once again returned to the gym. Quincy has grown up in a gym setting since the age of six.  She was a competitive gymnast through her teenage years who went on to become an aerial acrobat for FSU’s Flying High Circus. Her passion in fitness lies in her connection with her clients and in her ability to work on balance and coordination.

Nate Page Personal Trainer Charleston
NATE PAGE
Certified Personal Trainer, Group Class Instructor
Nate’s fitness journey began at an early age. Michigan born and raised, Nate played sports year round and never missed an opportunity to get outdoors. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Saginaw Valley State University, then moved to Colorado Springs where he continued to follow his passion for wellness and the outdoors. While living in the Rockies, he acquired multiple fitness certifications, summited many peaks and honed his craft as a trainer. He is certified through NSCA and NASM as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, as well as a Corrective Exercise Specialist. Nate’s training methodology identifies muscular imbalances and improves overall movement efficiency. His ultimate goal is to help individuals become more in-tune with their own body.

MARIA CASTELLANO

A born and bred New Yorker, Maria learned the value of a good trade-off when she traded in Long Island for the Lowcountry in 2018. Pairing an adoration for health, fitness and wellness with a proficiency in marketing and branding, Maria offers an approach that is equally enthusiastic as strategic. Her experience in the design, hospitality and fitness industries allow her to identify with the aesthetic and mission behind the Longevity brand. Maria is certified by NASM as a personal trainer and is currently training under Jennie to complete her Comprehensive Pilates certification through Balanced Body.

MARA KAVENEY
Pilates Apprentice Instructor
Mara joined Longevity Fitness in 2019 as an Exercise Science intern and now holds the role of Operations Assistant as she prepares to receive her Comprehensive Balanced Body Pilates Certification. She is also continuing her education by working toward her NASM Personal Training Certification. Training certifications. Originally from New Jersey, Mara fell in love with the warm, coastal and historic feel of Charleston. This led to her graduation from the College of Charleston, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Prior to that, she was a dancer for over 10 years, as well as an assistant dance teacher.

Certified Personal Trainer, Member Services Representative
​Jay is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), as well as certified in TRX Suspension Training. Originally from Oklahoma, Jay obtained a degree in Business and Organizational Communication from the University of Kentucky. He was a multi-sport athlete playing football, basketball, lacrosse, track & field throughout college and has been expanding his knowledge of health, fitness and wellness since. His passion is to help his community cultivate a healthy and active lifestyle through consistent and purposeful movement. Jay leads several youth fitness programs that focus on building and maintaining athletic abilities, targeting stabilization, strength endurance, muscular development and power.

JAMIE CEMBROLA
Member Services & Marketing Representative
Originally from upstate New York, Jamie Cembrola spent her college years in New Mexico and has since lived and worked all over the country, including Montana, Nashville, Portland, New York City and Stamford. Jamie is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a NASM Certified Weight Loss Specialist and Fitness Nutrition Specialist and NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. She comes to us with over 15 years of experience in advertising, public relations, marketing, strategic branding and media. Jamie looks forward to receiving her Balanced Body Pilates Instructor certification under Jennie, as well as immersing herself in the incredible Charleston community.

KAYLA CARRANZA-KEE

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Marine Corps family and later raised in Washington DC, Kayla was introduced to strength and endurance training from an early age. She has remained active since, learning to surf on her own and participate in sports such as volleyball, track and kickboxing. Prior to joining Longevity, Kayla managed a privately-owned gym in Myrtle Beach for 3 years. 

Jeremy Mayer Stretch Therapist Stretch Science
​JEREMY MAYER
Stretch Therapist
Jeremy Mayer joined the Longevity Fitness team in October 2015 as a certified sports physiologist. In this role, he works with professional and recreational athletes - as well as pre and post-surgery patients - on injury prevention and recovery training. Specializing in neuromuscular activation and active flexibility, Jeremy's process includes manual musculoskeletal techniques and posture alignment training. The results are improved movement and increased strength, circulation and balance in his clients.

Pam Durant Massage Therapy
PAMELA DURANT
Massage Therapist
Pamela is a board-certified massage therapist and NASM-certified personal trainer. She is also the owner of Elevate Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, LLC, and has worked as a massage therapist for professional athletes in the WTA, MLS, and U.S. Soccer. She has been an official massage therapist for the Women’s National Soccer Team since 2008, traveling to the 2011 Women’s World Cup and the 2012 Olympics. She has advanced training in myofascial release, kinesio taping, and active isolated stretching. In addition, she is a certified lymphedema therapist, which includes work in manual lymphatic drainage and complete decongestive therapy. Pamela received her Bachelors of Arts from Erskine College in Psychology and History and her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Pamela studied massage at the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy, where she graduated Valedictorian.
