You may have seen a new name on the class schedule... meet Samantha Skonieczny, our Pilates guest instructor.
Our community continues to make us proud of their personal achievements both inside and outside the studio; one talented individual in particular recently debuted a novel! Meet Paul Attaway - father, husband, author, and Longevity Fitness member.
As temperatures get a little warmer and the sun stays out a little longer each day, we can't help but want to take our training outside. The Longevity team shares their favorite spot for an outdoor workout in Charleston (when they're not on the Longevity Terrace, of course).
Running performance can be influenced by a variety of factors - from the surface we run on and the time of day we do it, to the foods we eat and the shoes we wear. Our shoes, especially, can be the difference between a really great run and a run that was cut short due to discomfort. Go for a run in the shoes of a Longevity trainer as they share their go-to pair.
The start of a new year serves as the perfect time to cleanse your body, mind, spirit, and environment of any impurities that weigh you down. Jennie offers insight on how decluttering and rejuvenating your surroundings can purify and fortify your whole self.
Massage chairs are no longer the static amenities found in shopping malls, car dealerships and nail salons- and they've come a long way since. Combining ergonomic luxury with tailored restoration, our luxury Zero Gravity massage chair proves that the conventional chairs we once knew have bred a new generation. While we may not all be physically present with one another, the world has never felt more connected. Going through this global pandemic which did not discriminate race, sex, religion, or geographic location, made us truly aware of our humanity and that we are, at the very root of it, all the same. Our beliefs may vary widely, our skin color may differ in shades, and our home may reside on separate continents but we all know and were affected in some way by COVID-19. Being forced to slow our pace, cover our faces, and quarantine for weeks has certainly left a lasting impact. It spurred a time on reflecting what truly matters, what we value most, and what areas of our life may need refining. As we continue to navigate the current disruptions to our daily life, we may find ourselves reassessing our goals and plans both immediate and long term. It is a new year but the pandemic continues. We are now equipped with the awareness of the virus, how it spreads, and that an accessible vaccine is on the horizon. How does this affect your outlook for 2021? What do you want to do, achieve, or change this year? Perhaps I can help.

You can conveniently check a gift AND workout off your to-do list without ever having to step in a store, wait on a long line or endlessly scroll the internet. This year was stressful enough; let's keep this holiday season stress-free, fit & healthy!
Our physical state is like a tangible printout of the synergy between our mental and emotional state. To a great extent, our lives are governed by our inner state of mind. If we could tap into the ‘backend’ of our minds and instill a mindset that supports wholesome living, we can live healthily. Three surefire ways to do this are gratitude journaling, mantras & meditation.
By keeping a gratitude journal, speaking and living by positive mantras, and practicing meditation consistently, you can improve your mental health, influence every dimension of your life, and live happily. You have to make the change in your mind, your soul and your spirit- and your body will follow.
